shawty swing my way

kooley high put on a parrrtttayyyy last night at king’s! we had THE best time dancing to all types of 90s music. i am a sucker for themed events and while i didn’t dress up for the occasion i brought 100% of my 90s moves with me. aka hand in the air [wave it like you just don’t care], perculator, stanky leg, butterfly, etc… oh yeah. i’m a REALLY awkward good dancer. king’s was packed, everyone was dancing and shouting OMG I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! to every.single.song. it was awesome.

listening to all those songs brought back so many memories… all of a sudden i was transported back to my 10th grade theater class when the thong song came on. only eastern wayne high school would allow someone to perform a sisqo song as their ‘monologue’.  what? that doesn’t even make sense! then aaliyah came on and i was back in my parent’s room watching the mtv music awards after her plane crashed bawling my eyes out to her tribute with p diddy and missy elliott and friends…. 

i can’t believe the 90s were so long ago!! all i know is that i want last night’s fun to happen again! 

a little ncsu college of textiles moves to nyc but then moves back to raleigh reunion last night. d d d dkap! 

seriously raleigh, so fun.
